When it comes to business document shredding needs, shredding bins and shredding consoles provide flexible options based upon your requirements. These locked containers can be kept in a convenient location of your choosing. Your employees can then easily deposit papers, files and documents into these repositories for secure, confidential document destruction.
Lockable shredding bins are our larger option and ideal if your business has a high volume of secure document destruction to take care of. Our full wheelie bins are made of heavy duty materials. They are best for businesses with high capacity shredding needs and easy access for transporting the bins to and from our shredding truck.
For companies with limited space, if there is greater than 5 stairs to an exit point or if you want something that looks more like a piece of office furniture, then lockable shredding consoles are likely more ideal. Shredding consoles are slightly smaller than a bin, easier to transport and can be more readily integrated into an office environment. Consoles are visually more subtle and can even be kept tucked away in cupboards.
Our security bin is WDH 585 x 730 x 1016mm, 240 litres and lockable. The shredding console is also lockable and WDH 490 x 380 x 890mm – ideal for a smaller office or business setting. The console also includes an ultra-strong nylon bag that holds all of your confidential files and documents in preparation for shredding.
Shred On Site document shredding is incredibly simple for your employees. Papers are placed through a 220mm x 20mm slot in the bin, and there is no need to remove staples, plastic sleeves or clips. Each bin and console includes a notice clearly outlining what can and cannot be placed in it. A spare key will be given to a nominated Document Security Manager at your place of business to allow bulk items to be placed in the bin or console.
A Shred On Site Operator will visit your office as often as you choose and on a day nominated by you. As for frequency of service, each client can set up a collection schedule of weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or ‘At Call’. There is no bin rental charge for less than an 8 weekly service.
Your documents will then be transported securely to our state-of-the-art vehicle for destruction. The Gripper Tipper loading system facilitates easy curb side or ground loading and is in compliance with all OH&S standards. The bin is deposited in a retractable bin tunnel that ensures total security during the loading process.
All documents are shredded in our exceptionally strong and secure cast aluminium ST-15H shredder. This unit is comprised of high strength alloy shafts, hub knives, a bridgeless vibrating feeding hopper and cast-iron cleaning fingers, and it can shred up to 2,200 kg per hour. Documents are shredded using a ‘pierce and tear’ method that makes it virtually impossible to reassemble the documents. Clients have the option of watching the shredding process on the truck’s security camera.
After your documents have been shredded, you will be issued a Certificate of Destruction for your auditing purposes. All shredded materials will be 100% recycled following shredding. The shredded paper remnants are mixed with other paper products, baled, and sent to the recycling mill. The shredded paper is then recycled into new paper products.
