As a retired Marriage Celebrant, I had much personal information in relation to hundreds of former clients, which needed to be securely disposed destroyed. I didn't have enough to justify a truck coming to my house, so I took the documents to the Shred On Site office and met very helpful Joshua who organised their destruction. I definitely recommend this company, and will use their services again in the future.
Great service! Shred on Site made the task of disposing of old files and paperwork super easy. I received a confirmation email with the time the driver would arrive and he arrived exactly on time Friendly and efficient service, highly recommend.
I could not recommend this service more highly! 8 years of tax returns, personal medical docs was weighing us down. Shred On Site were incredibly accommodating on dates and times and literally provide service at your front door. The price point was excellent also. Was like a Marie Kondo 'spark joy' moment. Thanks so much, Lisa & Steve
We were very happy with the Shred on Site Service. We had several boxes of material to be shredded. Mike arrived on time and cheerfully tipped everything in to a Shred on Site Bin and promptly wheeled it to his truck. The material was being shredded as Mike filled out his invoice and the job was paid for. Very Efficient service, I would without any hesitation use their service again. Thanks Mike for an excellent, positive experience.
Excellent service. Arrived on time. No need to sort paper , plastic or ring binders. All shredded while you watch. Great way to get rid of those old personal files
Service is exactly as advertised. Easy connection to set up an appointment. Appointment made next day with text reminder and call on approach - very helpful in getting boxes ready for destruction. Thought I only had 2 boxes - after the team members arrived, I realised I had 5 which was no problem for them to accomodate. Out of date but sensitive documentation which they handled and shredded appropriately. Cost was very reasonable, even with the unplanned extras. Service - both from the admin office and team members who arrived - was excellent. I will be using them again for future document shredding and their expanded service offering covering electronic waste, knowing that it will be handled sensitively and efficiently.

Efficient, very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They answered my email enquiry within the day by phone, I made an appointment time for the van to come to my home for the following week.It arrived on time with a pleasant driver. I watched my documents shredded. They also took away an old printer and phone fax. I highly recommend this service and will use it again.
Great service. 15 years of company accounts gone. I feel cleansed. The truck came. The bin was wheeled in, filled and then all my confidential files were eaten by the truck. Good riddance!!Thankyou ShredOnSite.
This is a great service. They kept me informed of the process, arrived on time and answered the questions I asked. I only had a few cartons but I was treated as if I was a large business. Thank you Shred on Site.
Great service, fast and assured. A fantastic way to deal with all those confidential documents you don't want to have to sort!
Shred on Site did an amazing job shredding 40 years of paperwork and cardboard after closing our drafting business. Great value for money.very efficient, fast and clean. Great for peace of mind. Thank you.
I have used this company both business and personal shredding. All times customer service was excellent and they were oh so helpful. I found the pricing reasonable and have been more than very satisfied with their procedures. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
come right to where the paperwork was boxed. destruction in front of me. Very quick and no mess at all. polite and professional
Great service, we used to use this company for our business shredding when we lived in Melbourne. We now live in a coastal town but were able to meet the truck on it's mobile rounds and have our shredding down in about 5 minutes! Extremely convenient, friendly and easy to organise.
This was so easy to arrange and communication with company was spot on. Everything was as promised. It was cheaper as a one off to take our documents to a site where they had a regular commitment. A quick call to say they would be there in 20 mins. and it was all done. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again or recommend.

Event kids are ripping into this month’s Elwood community shred day. The October 19 event will help residents safely destroy personal documents _ thwarting crooks who use the information to steal money and set up bogus credit cards.

More than 19 tonnes of documents have been shredded and recycled into items such as pizza boxes and egg cartons since the initiative began five years ago.
Shred on Site owner – Andrew Vincent, who will have two shredding trucks to destroy documents, said even the smallest piece of personal information could be dangerous.
“Just throwing documents like financial statements and tax returns in the bin is so risky,” he said.

The shred day runs on Saturday October 19 from 10am-1pm outside Elwood Life Saving Club.
A recommended donation of $5 per box of documents will go to the club.

Shred Site has chosen 3AW as its advertising partner in 2019

We are only a small business but after a lot of research and some positive experiences with the on air team at 3AW, we decided to advertise our SHRED ON SITE service on 3AW. The 3AW advertising team made the process very easy. They listened to our feedback on the type of customers that love our service and developed a script targeting those people. We were given a number of ‘voices’ to choose from and although all were great, we chose someone that we thought gets the message across clearly and in a direct manner.

The ads started running on the 7th January and we have had lot of positive feedback. If you hear our ad let us know.

Shred On Site is pleased to be participating in Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) this year, 13 – 19 May. As a supporter (or a “supPAWter,” as the organisation calls its advocates), we strive to embody the principles and ideas around best practice in privacy. We pledge to deliver the very best in cutting-edge world’s best practice in secure onsite paper shredding, secure document destruction, e-waste and recycling services across Melbourne.

2018 marks the 30 year anniversary of the 1988 Australian Privacy Act. This legislation has revolutionised efforts toward the responsible use of personal information in business, government and in a personal capacity online. Increased data mobility and analysis in research, policy-making and evolving the Australian economy are additional benefits.

Privacy: From Principles to Practice

This year’s Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) theme is “Privacy: from principles to practice.” Throughout this week, Australian organisations are encouraged to review how they handle personal data and look to see how they might improve their practices. Doing so improves consumer trust, public assurance and assists organisations in being better able to navigate environments that have become increasingly data-rich.

This week is also a time for individuals to examine their own personal privacy practices and look for ways to minimise risk. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is available to assist with questions.

Transparency and accountability are fundamental elements of privacy. Individuals must have a high degree of control and choice, and organisations should set themselves up in a way that respects each individual’s dignity and wellbeing. A respect for privacy is vital to building trust among all parties and responsibly handling personal information.

A Commitment to Responsible Handling of Sensitive Information

In 2018, a number of new regulations were introduced to enhance privacy in both the public and private sectors. The Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) formalises the expectation of organisations to notify people about data breaches that could cause them serious harm. The European Union’s (EU’s) General Data Protection Regulation will come into effect for all EU Australian businesses on 25 May.

At Shred On Site, we are committed to the objectives of Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) and the 2018 theme, “Privacy: from principles to practice.” To this end, we align with the goals of:

  • Reassess current systems and culture
  • Develop new processes as needed
  • Ensure customers’ personal information and privacy is first

During Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) 13 – 19 May, there was a business breakfast Monday 14 May at The Westin Sydney.  Sheila FitzPatrick was the keynote speaker. She is a data privacy expert and recognised EU and international data protection law expert. She provided thoughts on General Data Protection Regulation and how it is set to influence privacy worldwide.

The Acting Australian Information Commissioner and Acting Privacy Commissioner Angelene Falk launched Privacy Awareness Week 2018 and opened the breakfast. At the sold-out event, a business panel also dived into the reality of modern privacy practice in Australia and how businesses are responding to the new privacy developments. The panellists included Lisa Schutz, Founder and CEO of InFact Decisions and Verifier, Tommy Viljoen, National Lead Partner for Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance at Deloitte and Emma Hossack, CEO at Extensia. The panel was moderated by former Australian Privacy Commissioner, Malcolm Crompton.
